Kutztown, PA… The College of New Jersey’s women’s swim team was in action on Friday night at a tri-meet at Division II Kutztown University with Kutztown and Franklin & Marshall College. TCNJ's women defeated Kutztown (0-3), 76-46, but fell to undefeated Franklin & Marshall (4-0), 73-49. The women are now 2-1 on the year.

Senior Aubrey Horvath (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) paced the Lions with two first-place individual finishes, while helping TCNJ to first place in the 200 free relay in 1:42.84. Horvath captured both the 50 free (24.65) and the 100 free (54.82) and was part of the 200-medley relay that took third in 1:58.99. Freshman Kendall Warren (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) captured the 200 free in 2:01.14 and helped the Lions win the 200 free relay in 1:42.84. Warren was also part of the third place 200-medley relay team, while taking third in the 200 back (2:!5.94).
Senior Lauren O’Donnell (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) won the 100 fly in 1:01.08 and was on the winning 200 free relay. O’Donnell took second behind Warren in the 200 free with a time of 2:02.53. Sophomore Erin Stutz (Cedar Grove, NJ/The Montclair Kimberly Academy) captured the 500 free in 5:28.74, while taking second in both the 200 fly (2:12.92) and the 200 IM (2:16.29). Stutz was also on the third-place 200-medley relay team.
Up next for the women will be their first home meet as the Lions host Southern Connecticut State University on November 15 at 2:00 in TCNJ’s Aquatic Center.
