Osgoodby gets 100th win as Lions cruise to three victories

Greg Osgoodby joined TCNJ's 100-win club on Wednesday.

New York, NY… The College of New Jersey wrestling team went a perfect 3-0 in dual meets on Wednesday as the Lions scored road wins over Hunter College, New York University, and Yeshiva University.

The Lions, which are ranked 15th in the latest Brute – Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll, started the day at Hunter College and defeated the Hawks by the score of 38-9. The team then took the short trip over to 27th-ranked NYU and handled the host Violets 38-3. The Lions finished off the day with a 60-0 victory over Yeshiva University to improve to 4-0 on the young season.

Senior Greg Osgoodby (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) picked up a win in all three of his bouts at 174 pounds giving him an even one hundred victories in his career at TCNJ. His record now stands at 100-25.

TCNJ had a host of other grapplers go a perfect 3-0 on the day including sophomore Kyle Kinchen (Jackson, NJ/Jackson), senior Dan DiColo (Budd Lake, NJ/Mt. Olive), sophomore Mike Denver (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional), and freshman Ed Broderick (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional).

The Lions return to tournament action this weekend with another trip to New York State for the Oneonta State Invitational set for Saturday, November 22 with a 9:30 a.m. start.
