Oberlin, OH... The College of New Jersey men's cross country team turned in strong performance at the 2009 Inter-Regional Rumble held on Saturday at Oberlin College.
The Lions claimed 10th place out of 28 institutions with 284 points.
New York University took first overall in the team standing with 28 points.
Junior TJ Bocchino (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) paced the men’s team as he finished 12th in the large field finishing in a time of 25:23. Bocchino was one of six TCNJ runners to place in the top 100 of the race with 245 runners competing. Senior Brandon Rodkewitz (Wharton, NJ/Morris Knolls) finished 50th as he posted a time of 26:12 and he was followed by junior Dennie Waite (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional) with a clocking of 26:27.
Freshman Max Sparshatt (Rumson, NJ/Rumson Fair Haven) boasted a time of 26:31 and junior Kyle Roos (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway Regional) finished in 26:41. Sophomore Andy Herschman (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) added to the team’s strong showing with a time of 26:52.
