Ewing, NJ... The New Jersey Athletic Conference handed out its post-season awards in women's tennis with The College of New Jersey dominating the selections as well as capturing two end-of-the-year awards.

Senior Jackie Shtemberg (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) was honored as the 2009 NJAC Player of the Year, while head coach Scott Dicheck was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.

Shtemberg was also the 2007 NJAC Player of the Year and this fall she went 12-2 in singles play and 9-2 in doubles. In addition to being named the player of the year, Shtemberg garnered All-NJAC First Team honors in singles as well as doubles. This fall she teamed up with Felice Trinh (Linden, NJ/Linden) to finish second at the ITA National Small College Championships while earning All-American honors.

Dicheck guided the Lions to a perfect 5-0 record in league play as the team won their 26th straight conference crown. In his 10 seasons at TCNJ, Dicheck has compiled an overall mark of 120-34 and an unblemished 49-0 against NJAC institutions.

Trinh was the team's second double honoree as she earned All-NJAC First Team in singles and doubles. In addition to her successful campaign with Shtemberg in doubles, she went 9-3 in singles, including a perfect 4-0 mark in conference matches.

Senior Stefanie Haar (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) was the third Lion to be named All-NJAC First Team in singles. Haar won all four of her matches in conference play.

A pair of freshmen reeled in the program's final honor as Karisse Bendijo (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) and Allison Tierney (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston) landed All-NJAC First Team recognition. The duo went 4-0 in conference action and boasted an overall mark of 10-4 during the fall season.
