Question: Many teen-aged girls aspire to play college basketball. What was the most important component that enabled you to play at The College of New Jersey?

Keri Washington
: The most important component I would have to say that inspired me would have to be my parents. Listening to your parents if very important. My parents always pushed me to take my game to the next level and never settle for an average performance.

Question: Since your mom and dad were both college basketball players in their day, they can say, "What I would have done on that play is ...." and actually back it up. How is that dynamic in your family?

KW: It's extremely dynamic because they can recall things that happened to them that are happening to me now. However it can be bad at the same time because if I have a bad game they are even tougher on me because they expect so much.

Q: What is your favorite memory (on or off the floor) from your experience competing in the Final Four?

KW: My favorite memory would definitly have to be the fun room that they had in the hotel for us when we went to the Final Four. It was for all of the teams. There was an unlimited amount of candy, ice cream, gatorade, soda chips, and everything that was not good for us. They also had a WII, huge bean bag chairs, and computers. We spent so much time in there ... when we weren't playing of course.

Question: What is the one song that you have to listen to on the bus or in the locker room before game-time?

KW: "Wipe me Down" by LIL boosie. The beat makes me so hyper.

Question: What is your (and your teammates) reaction when your former teammate Hilary, and now coach Klimowicz lines you up for sprints at practice?

KW:
We are assigned buddies at the begining of the year and Hilary was my buddy. So when she yells or tells us ro run sprints I usually just laugh and say "oh buddy". But then I realize that she's not kidding when she doesnt smile back and I get on the line and try to come in first so she's not mad.

Question: Since you grew up in Ewing, NJ and went to high school down Route 31, is there any place that is a must to bring your friends?

KW: I would definitely reccommend Mama Flora's located in the Olden Ave. Shopping plaza. I LOVE their lasagna.

Question: What is your favorite food at TCNJ?

KW: Buffalo Chicken wrap from the Rat. I can never remember if I like blue cheese or ranch dressing on it so I always have to get both and figure out by which one tastes better. I usually pick the wrong one first.
