12/8/2009 10:03:47 AM
Pittman, NJ ... Junior Shawn Kircher (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) and sophomore TJ Burns (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) were honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for their performances this past week.
Kircher, chosen as the NJAC Swimmer of the Week, was an integral cog in the men's overall first-place finish at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational. Burns, the NJAC Diver of the Week, qualified for NCAA competition in four different events at the Lions Diving Invitational.
Kircher is the fourth Lion to capture swimmer of the week honors. This marks the third time this season that Burns has been honored as the NJAC's top diver.
