Ewing, NJ... Forward Briann McDonough (North Arlington, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) capped off her junior season with a big honor as she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Women’s NCAA Division III All-America First Team.

That wasn’t the only honor McDonough received as she was also a NSCAA South Atlantic Region First Team selection. McDonough led the Lions in scoring this season with 24 points on eight goals and eight assists. She also contributed with a team-high five game-winning goals.

She was previously to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team.

TCNJ had three other players honored by the NSCAA as senior Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) and sophomore Annie McCarthy (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) earned garnered South Atlantic Second Team honors, while freshman Allison Foy (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) landed a spot on the third team.

Clarke, a senior goalkeeper, left her mark on the program as she ranked nationally in goals-against-average yielding 0.30 goals per game. She finished the season making 60 saves and boasted a career-best 16 shutouts. Clarke capped her career as the program’s all-time leader in victories (72) and shutouts (48).

McCarthy was a key contributor on both ends of the field finishing with four goals, including a pair of game winners, and two assists. From her midfield position, she played a pivotal role defensively as they ranked in the top 10 nationally in team defense.

Foy stepped right in as a defender for the Lions starting all 24 games. The freshman helped the Lions post a conference leading 18 shutouts and league low eight goals.
