Princeton, NJ
… The College of New Jersey women's indoor track and field team put forth another strong effort as the Lions collected a large number of post-season qualifying marks on Saturday at the Princeton Open.

Junior Jianna Spadaccini (Butler, NJ/Butler) was a double winner for the Lions taking first in the 400 meters with an ECAC worthy time of 59.44 seconds, while also running on the winning 4x400 relay team. Spadaccini was joined on that team by sophomore Meryl Wimberly (Farmingdale, NJ/Colts Neck), placed sophomore Alexandra Tomaselli (Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Valley), and junior Meghan Miller (Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville War Memorial) as the quartet combined for an ECAC time of 4:09.77.

TCNJ had two other winners as junior Michelle Wallace (Emerson, NJ/Emerson) won the 3,000 meters in 10:35.04 and freshman Claire Johnson (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) took top honors in the 1,000 with a clocking of 3:02.07. Both of those times met ECAC standards.

Adding to the strong performances by the Lions were junior Priscilla Senyah (Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville War Memorial) as she was second in the 600-meter high hurdles (9.20) and freshman Katie Nestor (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands) finished in that same spot in the 800 (2:22.99). Those times were both ECAC qualifying marks.

TCNJ had one other highlight on the day as senior Martine McGrath (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Regional) ran at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the 168th Street Armory. McGrath finished seventh overall in the 5,000 meters with a NCAA provisional time of 17:25.96.
