TCNJ tennis teams headed to NCAA Tournament

Ewing, NJ...The College of New Jersey men's and women's tennis teams each earned at-large bids to the 2009 NCAA Division III Championships with action getting started on Friday, May 8.

The Lion women enter the tournament with a record of 15-3 and will face Lebanon Valley College (18-3) in the opening round in a 10 a.m. start. The winner of that match will advance to Friday's dual meet against Johns Hopkins University (13-3), which received a bye. All matches will be hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. The third round of the tournament is slated for May 10.

On the men's side, TCNJ heads to Amherst College in Amherst, MA where they will take on St. Joseph's College (13-3) at 10 a.m. The Lions enter the tournament boasting a record of 10-2. Like the women's bracket, the winner of this match will also advance to face Johns Hopkins on Saturday, May 9.
