The College of New Jersey baseball team will host their annual alumni game on Saturday, September 19. First pitch will be thrown at 10:00 a.m. and the game will be followed by a reception lunch at 11:30 a.m. All baseball alums are welcome to attend.
The alumni game will be held in conjunction with Family Day. As in years past, family members of current Lion players will be introduced to and socialize with the parents and players on the 2009 squad. Players and their families will also have an opportunity to put faces with the names of former players and learn what career paths they’ve taken since graduating from TCNJ.
After the alumni game and reception, the 2009 players will play the opening game of their best-of-seven ‘Adopt a Highway World Series’. The losing team of this series will have the honor of cleaning the road area at the intersection of Interstate 95 and Route 206.
At the request of head coach Dean Glus, alumni are encouraged to notify five former teammates of the event. If they’re unable to attend, they can visit the baseball page and click on ‘Alumni Baseball Update’ to update their personal information and ensure they’re informed of all future alumni events.
