Princeton, NJ... Taking to the track against a host of NCAA Division I programs, The College of New Jersey men's indoor track and field team held their at the Princeton Relays with numerous standout performances.
TCNJ's top effort came in the 4x400 relay as the Lions won the race with a ECAC qualifying time of 3:23.40 with the quartet of junior Jule Brooks (Atlantic City, NJ/Atlantic City), freshman Robert Searby (Freeholde, NJ/Freehold), senior DeShard Stevens (Jersey City, NJ/James T. Ferris), and junior Kyle Gilroy (Oak Ridge, NJ/West Milford Township) running the race.
Gilroy added to his banner day with a pair of second-place finishes as he hit a NCAA provisional time of 8.28 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and then had a time of 51.33 in the 400 meters.
Junior Dennie Waite (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional) claimed third in the mile with an ECAC mark of 4:15.15, while freshman Steve D'Aiutolo (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) had an ECAC distance in the triple jump at 13.57 meters.
TCNJ had a pair of individuals place fifth in their respective events as Brooks finished in that spot in the 300 meters (36.15) and sophomore Robert Jiggetts (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) in the 60-meter dash (7.14).
Junior Thomas Conroy (Norwood, NJ/Regis) collected a sixth-place finish in the weight throw with an ECAC qualifying distance of 15.37 meters, while senior Brandon Rodkewitz (Wharton, NJ/Morris Hills) was seventh in the 3,000 in 9:07.39, while Colin Gold (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) secured that same spot in the pole vault with a height of 4.20 meters.
