Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey wrestling team collected its fourth straight dual-meet victory taking nine of 10 weight classes as the Lions coasted past visiting King's College 42-3 on Wednesday.

The win put the 12th-ranked Lions at a perfect 4-0, while the Monarch dropped to 0-9.

TCNJ never trailed in the match as Dan Hughes (Delran, NJ/Delran) opened the night with a forfeit win at 125 pounds , while Dan Herr (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) followed with a 12-3 major decision at 133 bumping the team score to 10-0.

The Monarch's got the on board at 141 pounds as Anthony Dietrick (West Ornage, NJ/West Orange) secured a 9-3 decision over TCNJ's Enrique Romero (Weehawken, NJ/Weehawken).

The Lions responded with a string of victories as John Darling (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) won 11-0 at 149, John Barnett (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson Township) earned a 4-1 triumph at 157, while Justin Bonitatis (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) won by forfeit at 165. Those three wins extended TCNJ's lead to 23-3.

The wins continued for the Lions as Brian Broderick (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) posted a 12-2 major decision at 174 pounds.

In the best match of the night, third-ranked Mike Reilly (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) of King's and fourth-ranked Mike Denver (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) from TCNJ squared off at 184 pounds. The pair battled through a scoreless opening period before Reilly led 2-0 after two periods. The pair combined for 12 points in the third with Denver scoring the last five points for a 9-5 victory.

TCNJ closed out the win as Adam Koziol (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) won by fall at 197 in 2:02 and Jeff Furbish (Chatham, NJ/Chatham) also won by pin in 4:15 at heavyweight.

TCNJ closes out the first semester this Saturday heading to York (PA) College to compete in the New Standard Corporation Invitational.
