The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams dominated the weekly NJAC awards following their title-winning performance at the Metropolitan Conference Championships. The men’s team swept the awards as junior
Tom Medvecky (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) was named Swimmer of the Week, sophomore
T.J. Burns (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) earned Diver of the Week honors, and
Adam Schneider (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) was selected as Rookie of the Week.
Junior
Margaret Molloy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) was named NJAC Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season. Teammate
Kayleigh Shangle (Highland Park, NJ/Highland Park) was selected as conference Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this year.
Men’s and women’s indoor track and field won each won their 13th consecutive NJAC championship on Monday night. As a result, senior
Priscilla Senya (Sayerville, NJ/Sayerville) earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time in 2009-2010, while junior
Dennie Waite (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional) became the third different Lion to win Track Athlete of the Week.
