Ewing, NJ...The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association honored a two members of The College of New Jersey women's indoor track program as senior Jianna Spadaccini (Butler, NJ/Butler) and head coach Phil Jennings were each cited for their success.

Spadaccini was named the Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year, while Jennings was tabbed as the Atlantic Women's Head Coach of the Year.

During the indoor season, Spadaccini won the New Jersey Athletic Conference title in the 400 meters and was also part of the winning 4x400 relay team. She then won the ECAC championship in the 800 meters with a swift time of 2:11.07, which was the second fastest time in Division III heading into this weekend's NCAA Division III Championship hosted by DePauw University. Not only will the Lion senior be running in the 800 meters at the NCAA Championships, she will be competing as a member of the distance medley relay that enters the event with the best time in the country at 11:49.16.

In his second season directing TCNJ's program, Jennings was also cited as the 2010 NJAC Women's Coach of the Year after guiding the Lions to their 13th straight conference title. TCNJ had five national qualifiers and the team is currently ranked in the top 10. Earlier in the year, Jennings guided the Lions to a dual-meet win over NCAA Division I Rider University.
