Chandler, AZ... The College of New Jersey baseball team dropped its final game of their Arizona trip by a score of 10-2 to Western New England College.

The Lions (3-6) never found their rhythm as WNEC (2-0) took a 1-0 lead in the opening frame and then scored five in the third to take a 6-0 lead. The Golden Bears laced 14 hits en route to their second win in as many games.

Sophomore Mike Galeotafiore (Brick, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) extended his hitting streak to nine games with a single in the fourth inning and junior Jason Zegarski (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) matched it with a base hit through the left side in the seventh.

Senior Chris Esperon (Union, NJ/Union Catholic) had a pair of hits for TCNJ Sophomore Eric Lewis (Wantagh, NY/W.C. Mepham) spun two scoreless innings of relief allowing just two hits.

The Lions return home and visit Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, March 17. The game is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start.
