Pittman, NJ...Five student-athletes from The College of New Jersey received Player of the Week honors by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for their performances for the week ending March 14. Sophomore catcher Mike Galeotafiore (Brick, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) was also named the Division III ECAC-Metro Player of the Week.

Sophomore Leigh Mitchell (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) was named the Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week and senior Michelle Wallace (Emerson, NJ/Emerson) earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance at the Division III NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The women's softball team collected a pair of NJAC awards as senior Ellen Seavers (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) was selected as Player of the Week and freshman Ashley Sogluizzo (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex South) earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Galeotafiore was honored by both the NJAC and ECAC after hitting .480 over seven games last week. He hit safely in each game, cracking five doubles and driving in seven runs as the Lions competed in Chandler, AZ.
