Ewing, NJ...The College of New Jersey softball team was picked to finish second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference preseason poll.
The Lions received a pair of first-place votes, trailing only William Paterson University as the Pioneers picked up four first-place votes.
TCNJ is coming off of a 24-17 season and went 12-6 in conference play to claim the third seed in the NJAC Tournament.
The 2010 season starts for the Lions on Sunday, March 7 as the team kicks off the new campaign in Florida. TCNJ opens with single games against the University of Rochester and Dominican University.
