Women's meet results
Northampton, Mass... Entering the day in 27th place, the women’s team made an incredible run that fell ½ point short as they were edged by Ithaca College 64.5 points to 64 at the 2010 ECAC Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Lions put themselves in contention by winning four individual events and as well as the 4x400 relay.
Senior Priscilla Senyah (Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville) set a TCNJ record winning the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.13. Her finish was also an NCAA automatic qualifying time. Senyah added a second-place finish in the 55-meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 7.25.
Senior Jianna Spadaccini (Butler, NJ/Butler) won the 800-meter event with a NCAA provisional time o f 2:13.02. Sophomore Katie Nestor (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands) followed with a first-place finish in the 1000-meter race. Nestor led the pack with a time of 3:01.66.
Coming off an outstanding cross country season, senior Michelle Wallace (Emerson, NJ/Emerson) added another title to her list of accomplishments as she took first in the 3000-meter event. Wallace won the race in 10:05.21. Freshman Rachel Morris (Marlboro, NJ/Colts Neck) tacked on five points for the Lions with her fourth-place finish in that event with a time of 10:37.24.
A total of 62 women’s teams competed in this year’s ECAC championship tournament. Only individuals who met qualifying standards during the season were invited to compete.
