Meet results
Northampton, Mass ... The College of New Jersey men's track and field team finished in a second-place tie at the 2010 ECAC Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
TCNJ accumulated 48 points in the two-day event, just four points behind the overall champion Ithaca College. Southern Maine University also finished with 48 points.
Senior
Dennie Waite (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional) earned an ECAC title with his first-place finish in the 1-mile run. Waite posted a time of 4:14.45 to earn the Lions a full ten points.
Junior
Kyle Gilroy (Oak Ridge, NJ/West Milford Twp.) placed second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.78. Junior
Rob Nihen (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) also placed second in the 3000 meter race posting a time of 8:41.82. Each second-place finish notched eight points for TCNJ.
Nihen also earned points with a fourth-place finish in the 5000 meter run on Friday. Sophomore
Tim White (Saddle Brook, NJ/Saddlebrook) placed eighth in the pentathlon with a total score of 3,194 points.
The Lions placed second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:30.58. They also took third in the 4x400 relay crossing the finish line in 3:22.89.
A total of 63 men's teams competed in this year's ECAC championship tournament. Only individuals who met qualifying standards during the season were invited to compete.
