Ewing, NJ... In addition to already qualifying for the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship as a team, The College of New Jersey had a pair of individuals selected to the singles and doubles portion of the tournament.

Senior Jackie Shtemberg (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) will have a busy tournament as she landed a spot in both the singles and doubles play. Shtemberg finished second last year at the national tournament in singles and will once again look to make a run through the field of 32 players. This season, she has a record of 23-4 and enters the tournament having won seven straight matches.

In doubles, Shtemberg and sophomore Felice Trinh (Linden, NJ/Linden) landed one of the 16 spots in doubles as the duo looks to build on their already strong season. They finished second last fall at the 2009 ITA National Championships and have teamed up for a record of 17-5 so far this season.

The singles and doubles portion of the NCAA Tournament is set for May 28-30 at the Battleground Tennis Complex in Fredericksburg, VA. The event is being hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

As a team, the Lions earned a bye in the opening round of the tournament as they play the winner of Hunter College and host University of Mary Washington on Saturday, May 15. TCNJ is 15-4 on the season and a win in that match would propel them into the third round of the tournament on May.
