Complete NJAC All-Academic teams
Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey had a strong contingent of student-athletes recognized by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for their efforts in the classroom as over 100 Lions were named to the various 2009-10 NJAC All-Academic teams.
A conference-record total of 550 student-athletes have been named to the NJAC All-Academic Team for the 2009-10 academic year. To be eligible for the squad, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport while achieving a minimum grade point average of 3.20. First and second-team selections were made by the individual institutions.
In all, TCNJ had 120 students-athletes cited by the conference.
Senior softball player Ellen Seavers (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) and senior men’s soccer player Adam Dorflinger (Sergeantsville, NJ/Hunterdon Central) were each named to the NJAC All-Academic First Team.
A pair of Lion swimmers were selected to the second team as junior Danielle Morrone (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) was tabbed for the women and senior Myles O’Connor (Santa Monica, CA/Homeschooled) was cited for the men.
TCNJ then had 116 individuals garner the NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
