Ali Jaeger continues to garner accolades on her strong 2010 season.

Ewing, NJ...The list of honors earned by members of The College of New Jersey women’s lacrosse team continued to grow as players were cited by both the ECAC and womenslacrosse.com.

Junior Alison Jaeger (Hampton, NJ/North Hunterdon) collected a number of honors as she was named the ECAC Metro/South Offensive Player of the Year and womenslacrosse.com Attacker of the Year. She was tabbed a First Team All-American by womenslacrosse.com and was an ECAC Metro/South First Team selection.

Jaeger, who was previously named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Attack Player of the Year and All-NJAC First Team, had a huge season for the Lions setting a single-season record for goals as she ripped the nets for 86 goals. She added 25 assists giving her 111 points on the year, leaving her one shy of another school record. By surpassing the 100-point plateau, the junior became the third player in program history to accomplish that feat. Jaeger topped the conference in goals and points also ranked among the national leaders in those categories.

Sophomore Kathleen Notos (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) added a pair of honors as she was named a First Team All-American by womenslacrosse.com and to the ECAC Metro/South First Team.

Notos was a valuable player at both ends of the field as she was previously selected as the 2010 NJAC Midfielder of the Year. She posted her first 50-goal campaign finishing with 51 goals and 59 points. She led both the team and the NJAC in draw controls with an even 100 and caused turnovers with 30.

Senior Lisa Seldeen (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) and sophomore Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) were also recognized as they were named ECAC Metro/South Second Team.

Seldeen saved her best season for last as she had a career-high 70 points on 36 goals and 34 assists. Those 34 assists are the third highest single-season total in program history. She finished her career with 144 points on 94 goals and 40 assists.

Mitchell left her mark on TCNJ’s record book shattering the school mark for assists in a season dishing out 50. The old record was 37. Mitchell became the fourth Lion in program history to score more than 100 points in a season as she finished the season with 106 on 56 goals and 50 assists. She led the NJAC in assists averaging an impressive 2.5 per game.

The Lions finished the season with a solid 16-4 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the 26th straight season.
