TCNJ picked to continue impressive streak

Ewing, NJ...The College of New Jersey collected all six first-place votes as the Lions we picked to win their 28th straight New Jersey Athletic Conference women's tennis title. Since the NJAC began sponsoring the sport, the Lions have won all 131 dual meets dating back to the 1982 season.

TCNJ will return a trio of all-conference players from a 2009 squad, including junior Felice Trinh (Linden, NJ/Linden), sophomore Karisse Bendijo (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township), and sophomore Allison Tierney (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston).

Overall, the Lions finished the season with a 16-5 record and advanced to the second round of the 2010 NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Lions open the fall portion of their season on Wednesday, September 1 at conference opponent Rutgers University – Newark.
