Haverford, CT … Led by senior
Rob Nihen (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock), seven runners from The College of New Jersey men's cross country team finished in the top half of the pack of Friday evening's non-scoring Haverford Invitational.
Nihen led the way with a finish of 21:02 in the four mile event, which was good for 26
th place in the field of 110 harriers.
John Arnold was not far behind his teammate as he posted a time of 21:04 to place 29
th overall.
Sophomore
Ryan Ure (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) was the next Lions to finish as he completed the race in 21:32 to take 42
nd place. TCNJ claimed spots 49 through 52 as junior
Mike Berti (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial), junior
Alex Matteson (Moorestown, NJ/Mooresown), junior
Kevin O'Dowd (Colts Neck), and sophomore
Dylan Lynch (Howell, NJ/Howell) crossed the finish line consecutively. Berti posted 21:55 followed by Matteson (22:00), O'Dowd (22:02), and Lynch (22:08).
Sophomore
Mike Jones (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) 22:16 rounded out the Lions who placed in the top 55 by registering a 54
th place finish with a time of 22:16.
The Lions will vie for their 17
th consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference title at the NJAC Championships held at Richard Stockton College next Saturday, October 29
