Kathleen Notos (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) and sophomore
Dominic Tasco (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) were cited by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for their performances during the week ending May 13, 2012.
Notos capped her brilliant career at TCNJ by being named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week in lacrosse. She helped keep a pair of ranked opponents in single-digits in two NCAA regional round games over the weekend, along with a 14-5 win over Elizabethtown College in the first round of the tournament. Notos caused four turnovers in the win over the Blue Jays and had two draw controls in the 8-7 victory over Amherst College.
Against second-ranked SUNY Cortland, Notos had a pair of goals and won three draw controls in a 9-7 loss. Her first goal against the Red Dragons was her 50
th of the season, giving her three consecutive seasons of 50 goals or more. Notos completed her career with 206 career goals, which ranks fifth all-time in program history.
Tasco raced to a 13
th-place finish in the 800-meter event at the IC4A Championships held at Princeton University. It was the top time registered by a Division III runner, and ninth fastest time in Division III this spring. Tasco clocked a personal-best time of 1:51.59.
