2015 All-NJAC TeamsEwing, NJ … A dozen student-athletes from The College of New Jersey was selected by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for its 2015 All-NJAC teams for men's outdoor track and field.

Selections were based off performances in the 2015 NJAC Championship meet this past Saturday and Sunday. Six Lion athletes earned second team honors, while an additional six received honorable mention.

Senior
Abayomi Arowolo (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) earned All-NJAC Second Team in the discus throw. He registered a top distance of 42.56 meters to place second overall. Classmate
Juan Giglio (Ridgefield Park, NJ/Ridgefield Park) was a second team honoree in the pole vault. He cleared 4.20 meters to finish runner-up in that event.

Juniors
Tyler Grimm (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) and
Scott Savage (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) each ran strong races in the 10,000-meter and 3,000-steeplechase events to garner second team honors. Grimm crossed the line in 32:47.45, while Savage finished his race in 9:28.78.

Sophomore
Andrew Tedeschi (Montville, NJ/Montville) was the runner-up finisher in the 5,000-meter with a time of 15:16.08. The previous day, he placed third in the 10K in 33:00.80. to add an honorable mention citation.

In the 110-meter hurdles, junior
Jake Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) sprinted and jumped his way to a second-place finish. His time of 15.10 earned his All-NJAC Second Team honors.

Also receiving honorable mention for the 2015 season on the track were senior
James O'Connor (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) in the decathlon event, sophomore
Brandon Mazzarella (Marlboro, NJ/Manalapan) in the 800-meter, junior
Laron Day (Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch) in the 400-meter hurdles and senior
Jeremy Garrell (Morristown, NJ/Morristown) in the 3000-steeplechase.

In field events, senior
Mike Larkin (Millington, NJ/Watchung Hills) earned All-NJAC Honorable Mention in the high jump and freshman
Andrew McNutt (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin).

The Lions continue competition today (Friday) at the Georgian Court Last Chance Meet held at Georgian Court University.
