Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey Hall of Fame committee is pleased to announce that legendary coach David "Ice" Icenhower will be inducted into the TCNJ Athletics Hall of Fame on April, 27 2018.

Icenhower came to TCNJ following a successful career at Lehigh University, where he was the captain of a team that finished seventh at nationals. Icenhower was the Lions wrestling coach for 35 seasons, leading the squad to a 535-80-4 record and five national championships, including the first team championship won by any squad in TCNJ Athletics history.

His pupils include 129 All-Americans and 20 individual Division III National Champions. Icenhower's wrestlers excelled in the classroom as well earning 27 NWCA Scholar-Athlete honors between 1997 and his retirement.

Icenhower was named the Division III Coach of the Year in 1979 and again in 1987. In 1982 he became the only Division III coach to be a head coach in the prestigious East-West All-Star Meet. Icenhower was previously inducted into the NWCA New Jersey Chapter Hall of Fame.
