Megan Guicheteau was chosen to serve as head athletic trainer during the summer of 2008.

Then-TCNJ Director of Athletics and Recreation, John Castaldo said of Guicheteau’s appointment, “Megan’s commitment to the health and well-being our student-athletes is highly commendable. As she enters her ninth year here at TCNJ, she has proven to be a tireless worker. Her professionalism, knowledge and organizational skills serve us well. We are excited to have Megan take on her new role on our athletics staff.”

Guicheteau first came to TCNJ in 1999 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She held the position for one year and earned her master’s degree in health education in 2001 from the College. After one year as a graduate assistant trainer, she was named the College’s first full-time assistant athletic trainer, a position she has held since 2000. She earned her Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. A 1999 graduate of West Chester University, she replaced Joe Camillone, who retired from TCNJ after 35 years of service as the head athletic trainer.

While at West Chester, Guicheteau worked as a student athletic trainer for the Golden Rams for several of the school’s athletic teams. She was also a volunteer for the WCU Emergency Medical Services and the Good Fellowship Ambulance Club as a student. An honors student, Megan was recognized by WCU as a four-year member of WCU’s National Honor Society and graduated with honors in general education.

Guicheteau also serves as an adjunct professor at TCNJ, where she is a member of the health and excise science department. She holds professional memberships in the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). She also holds certifications as a registered New Jersey Athletic Trainer and as a Pennsylvania certified EMT, and with the NATABOC as a certified athletic trainer. In 2001, she attained her certification from the New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing for Teacher of Health Education.
